Terms of Service — ThoughtStream

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ThoughtStream ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users across web, iOS, Android, and any other platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use ThoughtStream. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate others, or use another person's account
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

4. Content and Conduct

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you create on ThoughtStream. By posting content, you grant ThoughtStream a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content as necessary to operate the Service.

Prohibited Content:

Illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory material
Nudity, sexually explicit material, or graphic violence
Content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
Malware, spam, or deceptive content
Impersonation of any person or entity
Privacy violations (doxxing, sharing private information)
Content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, or substance abuse

Prohibited Conduct:

Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
Attempting to bypass security measures, rate limits, or access controls
Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service
Using the Service for commercial purposes without our written consent
Harassing, bullying, or intimidating other users

5. Live Features

ThoughtStream offers live streaming, circles, and voice/video calls:

You are responsible for all content you broadcast or share during live sessions
Streams and calls are not recorded by ThoughtStream — other participants may record using their own devices
You must respect other participants and follow all content guidelines
We may terminate live sessions that violate our content policies

6. In-App Purchases and Donations

ThoughtStream may offer optional in-app purchases or donation features. All purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the respective store's terms and refund policies. ThoughtStream does not process payments directly through the mobile apps.

7. Intellectual Property

The ThoughtStream name, logo, design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by ThoughtStream. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without written permission. The Service's source code, design, and architecture are proprietary.

8. Privacy

Your use of ThoughtStream is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

Remove content that violates these Terms
Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Ban users who repeatedly violate community guidelines
Report illegal activity to law enforcement
Use automated content filtering and manual moderation

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

ThoughtStream is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any content posted by users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThoughtStream and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed — this is irreversible. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
